In Search of  Homeland

Even before I ever held a camera, there was something I'd been doing since childhood. That was searching for my hometown. I don’t know where my roots lie. That's why this search has no answer. I think I've kept doing it precisely because there is no answer.  My strength lies in being able to imagine my hometown endlessly and freely. wherever I go, “Maybe this is my hometown.” Even when I visit places that seem forgotten by people, I never feel lonely.

From the far corners of the places I wander, I think of my rootless hometown.
