A Translucent Memory
Until the day she returned home, she gave me all her time. For several days, we trusted each other without asking too much about each other’s pasts, spending most of our time together. We spoke little, relying only on gestures or translation tools to share our feelings. Enchanted by the beauty of her mind and her outward grace, I could do nothing but quietly press the shutter.
After she returned to her homeland, what remained for me were memories of dreamlike days, beautiful photographs, and a sense of loss.
And tonight, in a distant land, she must also be looking up at the same moon.
